Last Minute Changes? No Problem! DynaCal Communicates Changes Automatically...

Unpredictable weather...  Because of it, last minute changes and cancellations are inevitable.  Did you know you can rely on DynaCal to communicate those changes to everyone?  DynaCal's functionality has your communication needs in mind. 

By posting a Delay / Cancellation entryto DynaCal, it will automatically generate text messages and email notifications to the users who subscribe to them via My DynaCal.  The same is true for an event already in the calendar, which you cancel, reschedule, or postpone.

Wasting Money With Facility Use FORMS?

How many of the events on your calendar use a facility and/or resource that needs a certain person's approval?  What about details on how to set up for the event?  And how are you getting that approval, or communicating the setup information?  Via email?  Multi-copy Forms?  Online forms that get printed to be routed to different individuals?

Server Maintenance - Friday November 26 at 10:00 p.m. EST

On Friday, November 26, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. EST DynaCal will be performing maintenance on its system.  DynaCal will be inaccessible for the duration of the procedure - estimated to last one hour.

The Way You Want It, Is the Way You Get It - Default View

Do you change the way the events are displayed in DynaCal every time you log in?  If it is in list format, do you change it to calendar format?  If it is showing one day at a time do you change it to show a week at time?

It is easy to make your peferred way to view the events in DynaCal the default view.  Once you log in, you can format it exactly how you need it.  Select the categories that you want, how many days you want to view, and the format.  After you have it the way you want it, or need it, most often, make it your default view by clicking on the "Make this my default view" link. After you complete these steps, every time you log in, you will see the events displayed the way you want them.

Spring Release is Here!

These new features were recently released to all Facility Manager Edition users....Here's the scoop: 

Work Order Reporting – We’ve added a reporting feature to the Work Order tab that gives you access to all Work Order data in a convenient table; with just a few mouse clicks, data can be sorted, filtered and arranged to your exact specifications. Created reports can also be saved, printed or exported. This reporting feature is perfect for creating cost analysis, building use and labor utilization reports!

Services –The new Services feature allows you to schedule vital services such as Custodial, Exterior and Interior Lighting, Audio/Visual, and HVAC along with any Resource.  And just like Resources, Services can be viewed separately on the Reservations tab, may have Setup Information and Questions attached to them, and established Blackout Periods. Setup Questions – All Resource Setup Questions that exist within your organization are now maintained on a single master list. When adding or editing a Resource or Service, simply select the desired Setup Questions from the master list. New questions can be added to the list “on the fly” to keep you moving. Work Order Reporting – In response to customer feedback, we’ve added a reporting feature to the Work Order tab. You will have access to all Work Order data in a convenient table; with just a few mouse clicks, data can be sorted, filtered and arranged to your exact specifications. Created reports can be saved, printed or exported in PDF or XLS format.  This reporting feature is perfect for creating cost analysis, building use and labor utilization reports! This is a perfect tool to help keep track of where time and money are being invested!

Services –There are many vital services that are frequently needed in conjunction with events at your school or church; i.e. Custodial Services,  Exterior and Interior lighting, Food Services, Audio/Visual , and Heating & Cooling.  The new Services feature allows you to schedule these Services along with any Resource.  And just like Resources, you have the ability to create Services (with their own Setup Information and Questions), decide which Resources to include them, view by Service on the Reservations tab, and run reports based on the Service(s) you select. You can even establish Blackout Periods for Services!

Setup Questions – All Resource Setup Questions that exist within your organization will now be maintained on a single master list. When adding or editing a Resource or Service, simply select the desired Setup Questions from the master list. Work Orders - Print

You asked - we responded! We've added some new functionality to our Work Order (beta) feature. You can now print Work Orders directly from the Work Order tab. Simply point to the name of the Work Order you wish to print and select "Print" from the menu. How easy is that?!

Next up - Work Order Reporting! This feature will allow you to create and customize Work Order reports, and analyze Work Order data for your organization. Thanks to all of you who have given input and  suggestions for this upcoming feature!

Add Multiple Events - Improved!

The Add Multiple Events page allows you to add as many as 20 events to the calendar at one time. And now, we’ve given you the ability to add a new Location “on the fly” directly from the Multiple Events page, simplifying the process even farther!
